Edition #166 - 5 November 2012
Not only can you book yourself a free room to study in, the Clubs and Socs centre now has the Uni wifi and exam specials so you can have a break between study sessions! During exams the centre has 1/2 price saunas, 1/2 price squash, plus free pool and snooker as well! Head in to 84 Albany Street or call up on 4795960 to book your space now.
This week is your last chance to try out Unipol Recreation Centre’s fitness classes for just $2. Why not give them a go! Bring along $2, your student ID, a water bottle and get ready to have fun while getting fit.
If you need a JP before you leave campus, there will be a JP on duty at the University Information Centre each Wednesday; the last day will be Wednesday 5 December.
There will be extra skips out in the next few weeks as you leave your flats and wonder what to do with your belongings. Skips will be out on Friday 9 November and Saturday 10 November from 9am to 4pm so you can get rid of all that stuff you can’t put out in your black sacks or recycling bins.
If you can, it’s probably best to get rid of your rubbish before 3.30pm, as skips which are taken away to be emptied towards the end of the collection period may not be replaced with a new skip.
If skips located closest to your flat are full, please take your rubbish to another skip.
Reusable goods such as couches and chairs can be picked up for free by local charity shops, so don't leave them on the footpath put them to good use! Maps and info available on the OUSA Facebook page and website.
The DCC will also run extra recycling and DCC rubbish bag collections on Saturday 10 November. Please make yourself familiar with the DCC rubbish collection service requirements for using DCC rubbish bags only and when to put out your recycling bins. Non-DCC rubbish bags will not be collected.
Thanks for your help to keep north Dunedin clean.
