Nominations Open for 2 Student Members on the University Council for 2013
An election for 2 members to be elected by the students of the University of Otago to the University Council will be held on 10 October 2012. Further information may be obtained from the Returning Officer, Email: registrar@otago.ac.nz and nomination forms can be downloaded from the link.
Apply online for the December Graduation Ceremonies
If you are registered as a finalist for semester two or have completed your degree but have not yet graduated, you can apply online to graduate for one of the December ceremonies by accessing your PIMS details. Online applications open Wednesday 12 September 9.00am and close 1 October or earlier if maximum numbers are reached, so don’t miss out, apply promptly.
OUSA Environment Week
It's all on this week, the Environment committee have taken over campus and it's your chance to get a little environmental without dreading your hair. Our very own VC Harlene Hayne takes the stage in the rapid fire 18 minute lecture series with SCITELL, S.E.A bust open the truth about the University's energy use, and of course there's $3 dinners to fundraise and fill your stomachs if you miss the campus garden working bee. It's your chance to represent your students, make sure we throw the best parties, and keep on providing you with the best services. It's not all politics, it's a great experience as you help run an organisation and you can make difference to the way students experience Otago. Get your mates to give you a nomination when they open on the 17th of September and get loud during the elections! Where do you fit in?

The Otago Global Student Exchange Programme lets you study at one of more than 80 partner universities, receive credit towards your Otago degree and only pay domestic tuition fees. So, if you have ever thought of living and studying overseas, this is your chance.
