1st Semester Students Only: Refund for half of your Student Services Fee
If you have been a semester one student only, you will have paid the full year’s Student Services Fee as per the requirements of the regulations. If you are NOT continuing with your studies in Semester 2, the new regulations introduced for the start of this year allow for you to claim a refund for half of the fee. You need to apply at the Fees Office and will need to hand over your ID Card at the same time. There is a deadline for this refund which must be before the start of second semester 2 classes on 9 July.
PLEASE NOTE: to be eligible for a refund, you must not be enrolled for any Semester 2 papers and relinquish your ID Card for the remainder of the year. Refunds may take up to three weeks to be processed to your bank account and any refunds requiring to be paid to StudyLink if you paid your tuition fees by student loan will be done automatically by the University.
IF CLASSES ARE AFFECTED BY SNOW THIS WINTER, HOW WILL STUDENTS KNOW?
If classes are affected by snow, the information will be available on Blackboard at least an hour before the scheduled lecture or other teaching activity. Therefore, in snow conditions, it is important that students check Blackboard periodically throughout the day.

Rubbish Skip Collection - Friday 29 June
There will be skips out on Friday 29 May from 9am to 4pm so you can get rid of all that stuff you can’t put out in your black sacks or recycling bins. If you can, it’s probably best to get rid of your rubbish before 3.30pm, as skips which are taken away to be emptied towards the end of the collection period may not be replaced with a new skip.
If skips located closest to your flat are full, please take your rubbish to another skip.
Please make yourself familiar with the DCC rubbish collection service requirements for using DCC rubbish bags only and when to put out your recycling bins. Non-DCC rubbish bags will not be collected.
Thanks for your help to keep north Dunedin clean.
