Donate Blood on Campus – Wednesday 17 March and 23 March
You can save 3 lives with just one blood donation and you will have 2 opportunities to do this in March..…… The NZ Blood Service mobile unit will be on Campus twice in March - Wednesday 17 March in the Gazebo Room, Union Building 12.00 noon – 4.30pm and Wednesday 23 March at the Hunter Centre from 9.30am to 3.30pm. We would love to see existing and new donors. Please bring your ID and don’t forget to have eaten and kept your fluids up in the 3 hours prior to coming in. To save time you can book an appointment on line or just turn up on the day.

New Health Declaration Forms for Special Consideration for assessments and final examinations
When medical certification is required to support Special Consideration applications for both internal assessment and final examinations, the Health Declaration is now to be used in place of the traditional medical certificate.
The template and instructions are readily available on the main University website and in hard copy at departmental offices, the University Information Centre and Student Health.

Student email review
The university is reviewing its student email provision, with the possibility of outsourcing its Student mail to either Google or Microsoft.
Come along on Wednesday 17th March @ 12:00 Archway 4 (Google) or Thursday 18th March @ 12:00 Archway 2 (Microsoft) to have your say when reps will be there to demonstrate their systems.
Apple Student & Student Developer Scholarships
Otago has recently joined the Apple University Consortium (AUC). One of the benefits is that our students are able to apply for Developer Scholarships and WWDC Scholarships (the latter to attend Apple's World Wide Developers Conference in San Francisco, June 2010).
The AUC Student Developer Scholarships programme is aimed at Australasia's top student developers. We're seeking up to three students who have a talent for, and demonstrated experience in, programming on Mac OS X, a strong academic record, and an innovative project idea that doesn't reinvent the wheel.
Rubbish Skip Collection - Friday 26 March
Get rid of all that stuff you can’t put out in your black sacks or recycling bin; take advantage of the skip rubbish collection on Friday 26 February from 9am to 4pm.
If skips located closest to your flat are full, please consider taking your rubbish to neighbouring location. Thanks for your co-operation.
